The Hard Rock Hotel discussed its already-announced $1 billion expansion plan at a Saturday press conference. The 1.5-million-square-foot condominium and hotel expansion project will break ground in October, Hard Rock Hotel President Kevin Kelley said after the presentation.
To be built on a 24-acre adjacent parcel Hard Rock Hotel owner Peter Morton recently bought for $85 million, the project will include an expansion of The Joint concert venue, four new restaurants and a rooftop ultra-lounge.
Two condo-hotel towers, three condo towers and 32 bungalows will also be built.
Bungalows will sell for at least $2.5 million.
The property's off-Strip location will be an advantage, Morton and Kelley said.
The project will take about 24 months to build; it is being designed by Chad Oppenheim and built by Tony Marnell.
