Buyer to consider giant ferris wheel on site

Voyager Entertainment International, a penny stock company that has attempted to build a giant ferris wheel at several sites in Las Vegas, has reached an agreement with Centex Destination Properties to build an observation wheel at the site of the Westward Ho, Voyager said in a statement released this morning.

Centex Destination Properties has agreed to a purchase and sale agreement as managing partner of a limited liability company purchasing the Westward Ho, Voyager said. Centex is a division of homebuilder Centex Corp. that develops luxury condominiums. The Sun reported earlier this month that Centex was buying the Westward Ho, an aging casino-motel that caters to low-rolling tourists with offers of cheap beer and giant hot dogs. The property is south of Circus Circus and Slots-A-Fun, and north of the Stardust on the west side of the Strip.

The observation wheel will be part of a master-planned resort to be built at the site, Voyager said.
