LOOKING IN ON: ENTERTAINMENT:

Like him or not, you might enjoy roast of Oscar Goodman

If you like Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman, you might enjoy seeing him take a good-natured roasting.

If you don’t like the mayor, you might especially like to see him roasted.

So the roasting of Goodman on Saturday at the Plaza will have something for everyone.

The event is sponsored by the nonprofit Showbiz Society, whose purpose is to acknowledge entertainers and those who have helped the entertainment industry and to help entertainers in financial need.

“The roasting of Mayor Goodman is to honor an outstanding Las Vegan who has done so much for his community in general and the entertainment industry in particular,” says Tony Sacca, president of the organization.

Among the roasters will be comedians Rich Little, David Brenner and Louie Anderson.

The price of the event includes a luncheon of Mediterranean grilled chicken, pasta primavera or samurai steak with soft drinks, coffee and dessert.

As part of the fundraiser for the organization there will be an auction for dinner with Goodman and his wife, Carolyn, at Josette’s Bistro.
