Dana White: Leave Tiger Woods Alone

UFC president says what golfer does at home is his business

Memphis, Tenn. — Following the UFC 107 event Saturday at FedEx Forum, UFC president Dana White attended the post-fight press conference wearing a baseball cap featuring the Tiger Woods emblem on the front.

When asked about wearing the hat, White answered, "Leave Tiger Woods alone."

"Leave him alone," White said. "What he does at home is his business. Or (what he does) anywhere else."

White, who also supported NFL quarterback Michael Vick in the past, claimed he wasn't even a golf fan, but was tired of the media circus surrounding Woods after news broke he had been unfaithful to his wife.

"I'm sick of hearing two-faced, holier-than-thou, goofballs talk about Tiger Woods," White said. "You know what? You want to talk about Tiger Woods? Talk about when's he playing next. What he's doing on his private time, who gives a (expletive). Leave him alone. We live in a freak-show country now, it drives me crazy."

Woods previously announced he was taking an indefinite break from golf and would attempt to sort out his personal life away from the public eye.

"I don't even watch the news or listen to anything and I'm still hearing it," White said. "It just gets old, man. He made a mistake. We're all human. We make mistakes. Let him fix things with his wife and take care of his family.

"We love to build people up in this country and then tear them down, man. That's what we love to do."
