Regarding Vernos Branco’s letter in Wednesday’s Las Vegas Sun, headlined “Politicians coddle to corporate interest”:
In response to Mr. Branco’s final question — “When will it all stop?” — it’s never going to stop.
It’s going to continue on until the Earth falls to pieces. As long as those who are charged with governing the nation respect man’s golden philosophy of pure capitalism over God’s golden rule of “Do to others as you would have them do to you,” we will always have the disgusting inequity that we see today.
It’s sad to see that those billionaires and multimillionaires — I’m speaking of those who are just plain greedy and those who had something to do with the nation’s plight, who could easily make a substantial difference by pooling resources and diving into philanthropic causes — are seemingly hiding behind their political buddies while all of this is going on.
