A man suspected of shooting to death 21-year-old Brandon Gahagan of North Las Vegas early Sunday has been arrested and is being held without bail, Metro Police said.

Gahagan graduated from Mojave High School in North Las Vegas in 2005.

Detectives arrested 23-year-old Carlos E. Orellana of Las Vegas and he was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on Monday charged with murder with a deadly weapon and attempted murder with a deadly weapon, Clark County Detention Center records said.

Police also recovered a 2008 Toyota in the 1000 block of Dumont Boulevard between Maryland Parkway and Cambridge Avenue that they believe Orellana was driving.

Police said they received several 911 calls at 12:01 a.m. Sunday, reporting that a man had been shot outside the Olive Mediterranean Grill and Hooka Bar located at 3851 E. Sunset Road near Green Valley Parkway.

When patrol officers arrived, they found a man who was suffering from gunshot wounds, police said. Emergency medical crews examined him and found no signs of life, police said.

A second man, who police said was 20 years old, drove himself to University Medical Center with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the arm, said police Sgt. Russ Shoemaker of Metro's Robbery/Homicide Bureau. That man told police he had been shot outside the Olive Mediterranean Grill and Hooka Bar, Shoemaker said. The unidentified man underwent treatment for a bullet in the arm, he said.

A third man, who is 26 years old, was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he was treated for various injuries related to a beating outside the same location, but before the shooting, police said.
