The Clark County Coroner's Office said Friday it is still investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 21-year-old man who died after falling from an eighth-floor balcony at the Circus Circus Hotel-Casino.

The coroner's office identified the man as Jeffrey S. Kamoto, of Seattle, and said he died of multiple blunt force traumatic injuries after landing on the third-floor level of a Circus Circus tower.

Metro Police officers responding to the scene at about 3 a.m. Thursday said friends of the man told officers that as he fell as he leaned out the window to smoke.

Police say the death appears to be accidental and alcohol may have been a factor, Officer Bill Cassell, a Metro Police spokesman, said Friday afternoon.

"There is nothing that indicates that this is not an accident," Cassell said.
