A two-car crash in the northbound lanes of Interstate 15 closed the highway near Mesquite, causing authorities to re-route traffic through Mesquite, Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Kevin Honea said.
The crash occurred at about 2 p.m. Friday, Honea said.
Four people were injured in the crash and two of them were in critical condition, Honea said. The highway is expected to re-open at 8 p.m., Honea said.
The highway patrol estimated about 30 cars an hour were re-routed around the crash site, Honea said.
