Despite fewer passengers arriving at McCarran International Airport last year, the Las Vegas terminal ranks sixth-busiest among U.S. airports, according to a federal report released today.
The Federal Aviation Administration released its latest figures for airport flights. Atlanta was No. 1 with 978,084 flights, followed by Chicago's O'Hare, Dallas-Fort Worth, Denver, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
McCarran had 578,946 flights in 2008, which is down from 619,287 in 2007, the FAA said.
McCarran also ranked sixth-busiest in the country in 2007.
