Shooting death
Metro Police are investigating the shooting death of a man found in an alley near an apartment complex near UNLV.
Several 911 calls alerted police to several shots fired in the 5100 block of Golden Avenue at about 7:17 p.m. Wednesday and when officers arrived they found a man who had been shot several times, police said.
It is believed that the man was arguing with other people before the shooting, police said.
The identity of the victim hasn't been released by the Clark County coroner's office, which withholds all information until next of kin have been notified.
Police are asking the public for any information about the shooting death. Anyone with information can call the Metro Police homicide section at 828-3521 or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
