Education: Graduated from Calvary Chapel Christian School in Las Vegas; attended some college in Henderson.

Issues: The economy is the most important issue we face today. We must immediately implement solutions to help our citizens in need. I would work to meet that need by implementing a community volunteer program called Henderson Helping Henderson, holding monthly community discussions and frequent business roundtables. These factors create the partnership between citizens, businesses and government that will see our city through these uncertain times.

Qualifications: Council member, Henderson City Council, 1995-2007; Chairman, Southern Nevada Water Authority Board of Directors, 2003-2007; Board Member, Southern Nevada Water Authority Board of Directors, 1997-2007; Board of Directors, Clark County Health District, 1995-1999; Board member, Henderson Redevelopment Agency, 1999-2007; Henderson Community Foundation’s “Outstanding Citizen” award, 2005; Republican Women of Henderson’s Mother of the Year Award, 2000; Community College of Southern Nevada’s “Outstanding Student of the Year,” 1997; State of Nevada’s Women’s Role Model award nominee, 2001.

I am dedicated to give my full attention if elected mayor. This is not a position to be filled between a 40-hour work week and family time.

What sets you apart from your opponents: I served on the Henderson City Council during the good times of our economy, and I am running for the open seat of Henderson mayor because I feel it is my responsibility to see us through the tough times, too. I understand the government system, I have the dedication and commitment for our community, and I have a plan of action for our future. All of my experiences have prepared me for this moment to serve as mayor.
