Winds continue through Tuesday, cool temps on tap

Breezy to windy conditions will continue in the Las Vegas Valley through Tuesday. Then Wednesday's temperature will rebound to the upper 70s before another chilly blast arrives Thursday.

The winds will range from 10 to 20 mph this afternoon with gusts up to 25 mph from the north. The valley's daytime high is expected to reach 63 degrees, the National Weather Service says.

At noon the thermometer registered 59 degrees at McCarran International Airport, the official weather station for Las Vegas.

Temperatures ranged in the 40s across the valley Sunday night into Monday morning and they will nudge into the 50s by the middle of the week.

By Thursday another blast of colder air will sweep into the valley, repeating some gusty winds from this weekend, the weather service says.
