The Henderson Police Department's Community Relations Unit has introduced a new anti-drug campaign designed for citizens to anonymously report drug activity.

The number 267-DRUG (3784) is the number to call when a person has information about drug activity within the City of Henderson, police said.

When someone calls that number, the call will be answered by a representative of Crime Stoppers of Nevada.

The 267-DRUG hotline is a partnership between the Henderson Police Department and Crime Stoppers for rewarding anonymous tipsters. Crime Stoppers is a non-profit organization that offers cash rewards of up to $2,000 to anyone furnishing information that leads to the arrest of criminals.

The Henderson Police Department says it believes the 267-DRUG hotline will increase the amount of drug-related tips. Police officers in specialized divisions will be using the information to begin drug investigations.

The campaign also includes four posters that target four major drugs currently sold in Clark County illegally.

This anti-drug initiative is part of the Henderson Police Department's Community Policing program.
