Do you enjoy listening or playing great music? Well, a few of our faithful members have put together a music jam on Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:30 (or later). Last Thursday was such fun that once they left the building, they continued to jam in the parking lot for another hour! The group is open to beginners and professional musicians and they play several genres of music — old country, bluegrass and gospel. This weekly jam is for the enjoyment of all interested parties, with only a few musical restrictions. At this time, they are requesting that participants use only acoustic string instruments, no amplifiers, electric, or wind instruments. This group is currently meeting in the community room, but we are hopeful that it will grow so large — between musicians and listeners — that we can move into the dining room. They are off to a good start!

Why not come and join this new start-up group? I can almost guarantee that you will have a great time! Of course if there is a group of wind musicians looking for a spot, give the Senior Center a call and we will try to accommodate another musical group.
