Suspect in attempted abduction case.

A teenage girl walking to school was a target during an attempted abduction last week and Metro Police today are asking for the public's help in finding a man wanted in the incident.

The girl was walking to school Friday morning near Vegas Valley Drive and Mountain Vista Street when she was approached by a Hispanic man driving a black sport utility vehicle, police said.

The man made a disparaging remark to the girl, then tried to lure her into his SUV and grab her, police said. She fled and reported the event to school officials, police said.

The girl was able to provide a description of the man and a police artist drew a sketch of the man, which was released today.

Anyone with information is being asked to call Metro's Sexual Assault Section at (702) 828-3421, or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.
