Coroner identifies 2-year-old boy in apparent pool drowning

The Clark County Coroner's Office has identified a 2-year-old boy who apparently drowned in his family's pool at their home in Boulder City on Tuesday afternoon.

Timothy Dozier was pronounced dead at Boulder City Hospital after attempts were made to resuscitate him on scene and en route to the hospital. The coroner has not determined his official cause or manner of death.

Boulder City Police said they received a call at 12:38 p.m. Tuesday from a “frantic father” who said his son wasn't breathing after he found the boy floating in the backyard pool at their residence on Irene Drive.

The incident is under investigation by Boulder City Police.
