One of Mandalay Bay's restaurant staples will be closing its doors Saturday to make room for a new concept.
Hubert Keller's Fleur de Lys, an upscale French restaurant, is closing after six years of operation at the Strip resort. Upon reopening, the restaurant will be hopping on the tapas bandwagon with a menu of small plates from around the world.
The menu won't be the only thing to get a makeover. The restaurant will feature an updated décor and expanded patio. A spokeswoman for MGM Resorts International said the restaurant will take on a more casual, laid-back feel.
Something that won't be changing is the staff and management, and executive chef Steven Wolfe will remain at the helm.
The new concept is expected to open in mid-December.
Fleur de Lys has been Keller's flagship restaurant in Las Vegas since September 2004. The chef also operates Burger Bar in Mandalay Bay Place.
