Mötley Crüe lead singer Vince Neil has been charged with battery domestic violence and disorderly conduct stemming from an incident at the Las Vegas Hilton last month.

Neil was charged Friday with battery constituting domestic violence for allegedly striking his ex-girlfriend, 39-year-old Alicia Jacobs, in the chest with his finger, according to a criminal complaint released Tuesday. He also was charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly harassing Jacobs' friends, Patricia McCrone, 40, and John Katsilometes, 45, who is a Weekly columnist and editor.

The incident unfolded March 24 at the Shimmer Cabaret in the Las Vegas Hilton, where Jacobs, McCrone and Katsilometes were attending a comedy show.

During the show, Jacobs told police that Neil, with whom she had ended the relationship two weeks earlier, entered the venue and walked directly to her table near the stage, according to the arrest report.

Neil allegedly pointed his index finger and yelled profanities at Katsilometes and McCrone before turning toward Jacobs and poking her in the right shoulder, police noted in the report.

After Neil left, Jacobs and her friends alerted Hilton security, who contacted Metro Police.

Officers noticed a finger-sized bruise on Jacobs' right shoulder blade, according to the arrest report. Neil had left the scene by the time police arrived.

Jacobs said Tuesday she worries about being in the same room with Neil.

"His drinking frightens me," she told The Associated Press. "Complete strangers in the theater saw exactly what happened."

Katsilometes issued a statement Tuesday referencing his previous account of the incident, but declined further comment, citing the criminal case.

“I have written a detailed account of what happened at the Las Vegas Hilton on the night of March 24 as I was attempting to watch a comedy show at Shimmer Cabaret," he said in a statement. "I’m wholly confident in my own recounting of the events I witnessed that night and the conduct of Vince Neil. As this has now become a legal matter, I can’t comment any further.”

Neil has been summoned to appear before a judge May 2 in Las Vegas Justice Court. Neil's lawyer, David Chesnoff, told The Associated Press there are two sides to the story, and that Neil will plead not guilty to the charges.

This is Neil's second brush with the law within the last year. He was arrested in June 2010 on charges of drunken driving and served 10 days in the Clark County Detention Center in February.
