Whatever happened to the “family doctor”? I remember if you had a problem, you went to your family doctor and whatever was the problem, he took care of it.
Now it seems that no matter how big or small the problem is, if you ask a question about your health, you are sent to a series of specialists. No wonder Medicare is going broke. Think of the fee your doctor and the specialist charge.
What happened to the guy who had all the answers back then and now seems to just take blood pressure, temps and write prescriptions. Just look at the waiting rooms of the specialists — they are jammed mostly with senior citizens.
