MTV’s O Music Awards are here!

The MTV O Music Awards, celebrating the fusion of artistry and technology, are in full force as you read this, and our fine city is the epicenter of all the action. And tonight that action is at the Fremont Street Experience, as the awards show named the Downtown Las Vegas attraction as its venue today on omusicawards.com.

A number of celebrities will be involved with the inaugural event, including Mumford and Sons, Lupe Fiasco, Lil B and Foster the People. Some acts, including indie rock duo Matt & Kim, will perform from the Las Vegas location, with others broadcasting from locales across the United States.

You can even check out the event right now, as performer Chiddy is currently attempting to break the Longest Marathon Rapping record, live-streaming his entire performance.

So, are you so excited? You should be, because according to the show’s website, YouTube sensation Rebecca Black will also be there, so get ready to “get down with” Thursday. And if you can’t make it to the actual event, the entire show will stream live from the show’s website and on an array of other MTV-owned media platforms (click here for those details).

The party starts at 8 p.m. tonight with a flash mob descending on a surprise location at the Experience. Head on down for a wild night out – or celebrate the technology aspect of these “Open, Ongoing and Online” music awards by enjoying the festivities from the comfort of your living room!
