Taxes, jobs and the elephant in the room

What do you do when the elephant in the room isn’t a Republican, Democrat or a purveyor of Tea? Always ask the elephant to speak and state why it’s there. OK, in the interim, I will speak and interpret for the elephant:

“I am the 1 percent of the population that controls more than 90 percent of all the individual wealth in America. With my tens of trillions of dollars of wealth, when I speak, Congress had better listen. There will be no new taxes, period.

“Like most elephants, my memory is clear and sharp. Those halcyon Clintonian days of higher taxes, when the economy created 22 million jobs in America, are over. As the elephant, I don’t need those folks any more. There is an abundant and cheap labor pool outside of the USA. My wealth will increase even faster over there.

“In the meantime, please keep on buying those millions of products I’m producing overseas for your consumption. And no, I won’t be bringing any of those profits back to America. What? Do you think I’m crazy? You’ll just want to tax them too! Let the good times roll.”
