Metro Police released photos Monday of a man wanted in connection with a bank robbery that took place Friday afternoon.

Police said the man entered the bank at 3:17 p.m. and robbed the location in the 4200 block of East Charleston Boulevard. Officials didn't identify the bank.

Authorities said the man entered the bank and approached the front counter, then removed two plastic grocery-type bags from his jeans and placed them on the counter.

In Spanish, the man demanded that money be put into the bags. He then removed a large handgun from his waistband and pointed the gun at employees and customers, police said.

Bank employees complied with his demands and the man left the bank.

The man is described as Hispanic and between the ages of 40 and 46. He was between 5-feet-8-inches and 5-feet-10-inches tall and weighed about 210 pounds. Police said he has black hair and was unshaven, and was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, black sunglasses, a burgundy shirt, blue jeans and gray shoes.

Anyone with information is being urged to call the police Robbery Section at 702-828-3591 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
