Now that it is certain Libya will fall to rebel forces and President Barack Obama has done precisely the correct thing in assisting the Libyan people with air superiority and without putting one American foot soldier in harm’s way, how can the GOP try to claim credit for something the Democratic president has accomplished?
When the Libyan people achieve victory, and hopefully they choose a democratic society, I feel certain they will start massive production of their oil wells and ship their product to their European neighbors and to the USA — maybe our price per barrel will fall significantly. This could make it affordable for our nation’s truckers to increase their workload and for suppliers to hire more people.
So how can the GOP try to claim it was part of their strategy that made this happen? Remember, some in the GOP have bashed Obama for all of his ideas and anything to do with Libya, where the GOP wanted to put our Army on the ground and stated that thousands of Libyans would be slaughtered without our military intervention.
Republicans must be seething over Obama’s success and will try to figure out a way to either discredit him or claim it was their idea in the first place. Don’t worry, the American public knows the Republican Party doesn’t have any ideas anyway.
