Freeway detour

Work on Interstate 15 in the southern valley will require more freeway detours and ramp closures Sunday and Monday, including one that will affect the Las Vegas Beltway.
The southbound lanes of I-15 will be closed at Blue Diamond Road on Sunday and Monday nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
During the closure, traffic will be detoured onto the Blue Diamond Road off ramp and back onto I-15. Blue Diamond Road will be closed in both directions.
In addition, the ramp from the eastbound beltway to northbound I-15 will be closed during the same times those nights.
The work is part of the $246.5 million design-build project to widen the freeway between Blue Diamond Road and Tropicana Avenue. The project began in February 2010 and is scheduled to end in March 2012.
