Police: Remains found in trash bin were from a goat

Remains in a trash bin near Lake Mead and Decatur boulevards that prompted a police search on Monday afternoon weren't human at all.

In fact, the bones belonged to a goat, Metro Police said today.

Police were called to the area Monday after business owners reportedly saw the remains in a large trash bin near a Speedee Mart. Officials found the remains and determined they weren't human.
