The phrase “it’s 5 o’clock somewhere” has just been realized with M Resort’s Happy Hour Guarantee. But is it really happy hour if the prices ($3 domestic and imported beers, $5 premium cocktails and a third off all wine bottles) apply all day long? Who really cares? Those drinks are frickin’ cheap! —Mark Adams

Congratulations to Max Solano, mixologist and beverage director at Delmonico Steakhouse at the Venetian and Table 10 at Palazzo, on his win at the 4 Orange Premium Vodka Classic Cocktail Competition in Miami. His South Beach Sling, with four orange flavors and sparkling wine subbing for club soda, won over the judges at South Beach Food & Wine and won Solano the $3,000 first prize and serious bragging rights.

Masquerade! Paper faces on parade! The Golden Nugget and Southern Wine and Spirits are hosting a Mardi Gras-themed Masquerade Ball March 5 from 8 p.m. to midnight at Gold Diggers. VIP table reservations are available by calling 866-946-5336 or online at goldennugget.com.

The search is on for three ladies to compete in the Miss Knockout ring girl contest, with $5,000 and the chance to be featured at MGM Grand Garden Arena boxing events this year up for grabs. Every Thursday this month, Studio 54 hosts preliminary rounds leading up to the main event March 31 where three ladies will be named Miss Knockout. Their reign starts at the title fight between Erik Morales and Marcos Maidana on April 9.

Peepshow star Josh Strickland celebrated the release of his first single, “Report to the Floor,” with a live performance of the song at LAX last week. Peepshow and Holly’s World BFFs Holly Madison, Angel Porrino and Laura Croft joined him to hear the tune, which is already in the Top 5 on iTunes’ dance charts. —Don Chareunsy
