Regarding Lynn Comella’s Wednesday commentary in the Las Vegas Sun, “For professor, threatened cuts are demoralizing”:
As an instructor at the College of Southern Nevada, I appreciated the insightful commentary by the UNLV assistant professor with respect to higher education cuts.
The question is whether we want Las Vegas to be a place where people choose to live, raise families and go to college, or simply be a tourist destination. Why are cuts to education even considered an option?
