The bare-bottomed Crazy Girls advertisements have been turning heads for over and selling tickets for two decades now. No ifs, ands or buts (well, maybe butts) about it, the ladies’ toned rears are nearly as iconic as the Las Vegas sign.
Over the past 20 years a lot has changed in the advertising business: New types of media have emerged, customers now shop online from the comfort of our couches and purchases are now recorded to so retailers can track what we’re buying and market their products more appropriately.
It’s a brave new world, but some things never change.
Tao Beach debuted the pool club’s 2011 marketing campaign this week, and one of the ads just screams ba-donka-donk. It’s Crazy Girls redux: tanned physiques, thong swimsuits and cut derrieres. Revolutionary? Not so much, but effective? We’ll let the crowds at Tao Beach decide.
