Metro Police arrested a man Thursday for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend’s parents earlier in the day.

Police said Anthony Posey, 52, was charged with two counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon with substantial bodily harm and one count of mayhem with use of a deadly weapon.

Posey is being held at the Clark County Detention Center without bail. All of the charges are felonies.

Police spokesman Bill Cassell said officers were called at 2:15 p.m. Thursday to a home in the 4300 block of Mott Circle, near Sahara Avenue and Arville Street west of Interstate 15.

The stab wounds of the husband and wife aren't life-threatening, Cassell said.

Both victims were still in the hospital Friday afternoon in stable condition, police said.
