Coroner identifies Henderson motorcyclist, 23, killed in crash

Fatal motorcycle crash

A 23-year-old motorcyclist killed Saturday night in an accident at the intersection of Warm Springs Road and Spencer Street has been identified as Henderson resident John Roske, according to the Clark County Coroner's Office.

Metro said Roske was on a motorcycle heading west on Warm Springs about 7:20 p.m., approaching the intersection. Meanwhile, a car traveling east was making a U-turn at the intersection.

The car entered the path of the motorcycle, causing the rider to brake, police said. Roske was ejected and he and the bike slid into the side of the car, police said.

Roske was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the car, Penny Casey, 50, of Gilbert, Ariz., and a 26-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries, police said.

The crash remains under investigation. It was the 11th traffic fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction this year.
