Regarding Wayne P. Brotherton’s Saturday letter to the editor, headlined “Titus’ bonuses don’t sit well in private sector”:
I’d like to include one fact missing from his letter that was in Thursday’s Las Vegas Sun story, “Titus rewarded her staff on the way out”: “Even with year-end increases, her staff was the lowest paid of the Nevada delegation.”
Having been in Dina Titus’ congressional district office a few times, I witnessed firsthand the hard work put in by her staffers. I can also say that I have witnessed the lack of enthusiasm put in by staffers in at least one other congressional district office.
Titus’ congressional staff deserved their pay raise.
