Another round of lane and ramp closures is coming to Interstate 15 and some surrounding streets.
The closures and traffic disruptions are the result of work on the I-15 South Design-Build Project, which is widening the freeway from Blue Diamond Road to Tropicana Avenue. The $246.5 million project began in February 2010 and is scheduled to end in March 2012.
Project officials said there would be major traffic delays Wednesday and Thursday nights near the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Sunset Road, close to the Town Square mall. Milling and paving work is part of the design-build project.
In addition, the ramp from southbound I-15 to the westbound Las Vegas Beltway will be closed Wednesday night.
Other upcoming ramp closures include:
The ramps from northbound I-15 to both directions of the beltway, the access ramp from Dean Martin Drive to Sunset Road and the ramp from Sunset Road to Ensworth Avenue will be closed Sunday night.
The access ramp from eastbound Sunset Road to Dean Martin Road and the on-ramp from Russell Road to northbound I-15 will be closed Monday night.
All of the closures are scheduled to be from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on their respective nights.
