Letter to the editor:

Some drivers just don’t care

My wife and I are senior citizens who walk an average of five miles a day, and have been walking for the past 40 years. The fact we are still alive should lend credence to the fact you don’t need to spend a lot of money trying to figure out why pedestrians are being run over at an alarming rate. Listen to those who walk and survive. It isn’t rocket science.

I believe most of you really don’t care. You do not want to drive the speed limit, allow pedestrians to cross when the light is in their favor, put down your cell phone or wait until you get home to start drinking.

I know you will round file this letter because odds are you are guilty of one the listed offenses and have no intention of trying to change.
