A major problem that is occurring in our society today is the lack of trust in politicians, Wall Street and other institutions, which is the foundational difficulty causing everything to go astray.
American citizens do not trust either party or any branch of government to do what’s best for us as a whole nation and not just the special interests. The trust deficit also is entrenched on Wall Street and institutions in which unethical behavior is supported and encouraged to make themselves better off. That unethical behavior contributed to the housing crisis plus the national debt.
The trust deficit is what has gotten us to the point where we are at economically and politically. It must be addressed before major issues like national debt can be worked out.
