Regarding Reuel Williams’ letter Sunday “Stimulus money gets lost in the shuffle”:
Williams’ comments failed to acknowledge that former Gov. Jim Gibbons delayed releasing the stimulus funds and didn’t immediately include signs making citizens aware that road repairs were being funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
It is my understanding that there are still funds available in Nevada. By the way, one-third of the stimulus were tax cuts, so his figure of cost per job created as $656,000 is misstated.
