Am I the only person who noticed that the candidates in Tuesday’s Republican presidential debate did not give direct answers to 98 percent of the questions asked? This was especially true of the so-called “top tier.” Their ways of sidestepping or twisting the answer was something to behold. Not that I read them all (one can only stand so much), but none of the “media” accounts, print or otherwise, seemed to pick up on this.
I really hope that this debate was not our best shot at political honesty.
