Ed Wojna is one of the top pitchers in Las Vegas franchise history.
From 1984 to 1987 with the Las Vegas Star, Wojna set the franchise record for wins with 38 and is among the club’s all-time leaders in several pitching categories.
Wojna ranks second in franchise history in innings pitched (542), second in games started (87), fourth in strikeouts (310) and first in complete games (17).
Wojna had his two best seasons with Las Vegas in 1984 and 1986. In 1984, he tied a club record with 14 wins while starting 28 games and registering three complete games.
During the 1986 campaign, Wojna won a team-high 12 games and collected a team-high seven complete games. He also posted his best ERA in four seasons with the team at 3.59 that year.
Wojna finished with a winning record in three of his four seasons as a member of the Las Vegas Stars.
