The man described as being in his 30s is accused of robbing a U.S. Bank branch at 5891 W. Craig Road, near Jones Boulevard, Metro Police said.
The man exited the bank around 5:30 p.m. with an undisclosed amount of money and drove off in a 1990s white Mercury Cougar with a woman passenger, police said.
The car drove normally until police were able to catch up, police said.
A chase ensued for about 5 miles before the two suspects jumped from the moving vehicle, police said.
The car continued to roll until it hit a fence on the 2100 block of Engelstad Street, police said. No injuries were reported.
