Suspicious death
A person found dead inside a northeast valley residence has prompted a homicide investigation, Metro Police said.
Homicide detectives were called Monday to a residence in the 2500 block of San Marcos Street, near Carey Avenue and Pecos Road, Metro spokesman Marcus Martin said.
A family member contacted police after returning home and finding the body, Martin said. The death was described as suspicious, he said.
Police were not immediately able to release the victim’s gender or apparent cause of death.
