Weekend best bets: Cee Lo Green, Pitbull and ‘Gangnam Style’ with Psy

Over the years, Rain has been home to many a party and concert, like this one from Snoop Dogg. After NYE weekend, the club closes its doors.

New Year's weekend in Las Vegas is one of the busiest of the year. Here are some ideas to make the most of this concert-filled weekend.

    • Friday-Saturday: Pitbull at Pearl

      Mr. Worldwide, Pitbull, leaves the 305 behind for a bit to visit the 702 for a pair of concerts Friday and Saturday. Enjoy tracks like "Give Me Everything" and "Don't Stop the Party." Tickets are $100-$220, and the shows start at 8 p.m.

      Saturday-Sunday: Shawn and Marlon Wayans at the Orleans

      Shawn and Marlon Wayans perform Saturday and Sunday at the Orleans Showroom. The comedians, actors and brothers have starred in "In Living Color" and "The Wayans Bros.," plus a slew of movies. Tickets are $44-$66, and the show starts at 8 p.m.

    • Sharam

      Friday: Body English reopens

      The Hard Rock nightclub Body English reopens with headliner and founding member of Deep Dish, Sharam, as well as Boris MD, Justin Baulé and Ryan Christian on the main stage and DJ G-Minor with DJ Supa James in the Parlor. Doors open at 10 p.m. An open-bar wristband is $125.

      Saturday: A Perfect Circle at Planet Hollywood

      A Perfect Circle performs at Planet Hollywood. If you still haven't seen the band after its lengthy hiatus, now is the time. A Perfect Circle's current lineup is Howerdel, Keenan, James Iha (Tinted Windows, ex-Smashing Pumpkins), Jeff Friedl (Devo, Puscifer) and Matt McJunkins (Ashes Divide, Puscifer). Tickets are $47.14- $66.19, and the show starts at 8 p.m.

      Sunday: Cee Lo Green at the Chateau

      Cee Lo Green performs at Chateau. The coach from "The Voice" is gearing up for his "Cee Lo Green Presents Loberace" residency at Planet Hollywood. Get a taste of what’s to come when he performs at the Paris nightclub. Doors open at 10 p.m., and entry is $50 for men and $40 for women.

    • Psy celebrates his birthday this weekend with a live performance at Pure.

      Saturday: Psy at Pure

      Psy performs at Pure to celebrate his birthday and the upcoming new year. The South Korean pop star’s viral video for “Gangnam Style” just made Internet history, becoming the first to surpass 1 billion YouTube views. You know you want to see the dance in person from the man who made it famous. Doors open at 10 p.m., and entry is $20 for women and $30 for men.

    • Rain opens its doors one last time this weekend, with a performance by Kelly Rowland planned for Saturday night.

      Saturday: Kelly Rowland at Rain

      R&B singer Kelly Rowland performs at Rain Nightclub. Regular nightclub operations at the Palms venue will cease after this weekend, so be sure to catch this special performance. Doors open at 10 p.m. and entry is $20 for women and $40 for men. Open-bar wristbands are available for $100.

    • Saturday: Club Curry's Shade Tree fundraiser

      Club Curry hosts a fundraiser for the Shade Tree women's shelter. The goal of the Monopoly-themed event is to raise $100,000. Tickets are $200 per person or $300 per couple. The event includes a night of entertainment, prizes, dancing, food and drinks. In keeping with the Monopoly theme, guests are encouraged to dress in 1920s and '30s apparel. The event will be held at host Mark Curry's home in Anthem, with the address being disclosed to ticket holders. To purchase tickets, click here. The party begins at 7 p.m.

    • DJ Pauly D celebrates Halloween at Rehab and Vanity's Sinners Ball in the Hard Rock Hotel on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012.

      Sunday: Pauly D at Vanity

      "Jersey Shore" may have wrapped, but DJ Pauly D can still be found at the Hard Rock. He’ll (literally) close down Vanity as he spins with DJ Shift at Vanity’s last party before the club ceases normal operations. Doors open at 10 p.m. and entry is $40 for men and $30 for women.

      Sunday: The Eagles at the MGM Grand Garden Arena

      The Eagles return to the MGM Grand for a concert featuring all their greatest hits like “Hotel California,” “Desperado,” “Take It To The Limit,” “Life In the Fast Lane” and “Take It Easy.” Tickets are $71.50- $213, and the show starts at 8 p.m.
