This Valentine’s Day, save yourself the heartache of presenting a burnt pot roast to your sweetie and just go out instead. Las Vegas has a number of tasty candy shops where you can pick up delicious treats and a wide variety of restaurants serving aphrodisiac-inspired meals.

Ethel M serves up treats year-round at its Henderson factory, but their beautifully packaged Valentine’s Day heart-shaped box is only available for a limited time.

Max Brenner in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace specializes in chocolate. Their various Valentine’s packages include chocolate bon bons, pralines and even chocolate-themed spa products.

Simon at Palms Place offers a four-course prix fixe menu from 6-11 p.m. for $75 per person. The menu includes oysters, osso buco and poached lobster, with dessert options like strawberry rhubarb tart and red velvet cake. Wine pairings are available for an additional $32. Morels at the Palazzo offers a four-course prix fixe dinner featuring crab salad on a potato crisp, grilled filet mignon with Maine lobster tail. Frankie Moreno

The Stratosphere offers up a special dinner and show combination in its showroom. Dine on food from the Top of the World restaurant, which will be served in the showroom, then enjoy the music of Frankie Moreno and his ten-piece band. The menu starts off with a Love Puff featuring shrimp and scallops or chicken and artichoke in a heart-shaped puff pastry with béchamel sauce. Next is an iceberg wedge salad with nueske bacon and maytag blue cheese. Entrée options include filet mignon oven roasted free-range chicken with white truffle oil or pan seared organic salmon with shitake mushrooms and lemongrass beurre blanc. A Chocolate Fantasy dessert completes the meal. Throughout the meal, the film Casablanca will air on screens throughout the showroom. The price of the dinner and show is $119 per person. SushiSamba at the Palazzo offers a menu featuring chilled seasonal oysters with American caviar, tomato-yuzu sorvete and red shiso, Maine lobster goyza and robata filet mignon. Alize at the top of the Palms offers a four-course meal with vegetarian options as well. Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar in Summerlin serves a special menu February 12-14 featuring filet mignon and prawns, prime New York strip and king crab and North Atlantic lobster tail with lobster mac and cheese, priced at $69.95. Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza takes some of the challenge out of a home-cooked meal with take-home pizza kits. The kits are available in traditional, whole-wheat or gluten-free and are all under $8.50. They are available at all Sammy’s locations from February 11-14.

Sushi Roku delivers a special a la carte menu featuring items like Love on Ice—a raw seafood assortment with Kumanmoto oysters and caviar. The cooked version, the Love on Fire, features a lobster tail and filet mignon.
