An Arizona man died after his vehicle struck a semitrailer Sunday morning near Industrial and Desert Inn roads, Metro Police said.
Authorities said the single-vehicle accident happened about 8:23 a.m. on Western Avenue.
The 2005 Nissan Xterra apparently left the roadway while traveling north on Western Avenue approaching Desert Inn Road, police said. The Nissan crossed the southbound travel lane and entered a loading dock area, where it struck a parked semitrailer and the loading dock, police said.
The driver, a 44-year-old man from Ash Fork, Ariz., was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release his identity pending notification of his family.
The accident investigation is ongoing. No other details were immediately available.
