Feds seek suspects in Nevada shooting, Utah deaths

Federal authorities have joined the search for two suspects in a double-murder in Utah and an attempted carjacking in Nevada.

Deputy U.S. Marshal Jim Phelps said Monday the suspects are extremely dangerous and a manhunt is under way.

The crime spree began Saturday outside a West Wendover, Nev., casino, when a man and woman tried to carjack another woman who was shot in the head while escaping. She remains hospitalized.

The attackers led Nevada authorities on a 50-mile chase on Interstate 80 before disappearing down a dirt road. They haven't been seen since.

Later Saturday, authorities found the bodies of an elderly couple in their Mount Pleasant home, about 100 miles south of Salt Lake City.

AP writer Paul Foy contributed to this report.
