Teen victim shot in neck during attempted robbery, police say

Metro Police say a 17-year-old boy was shot in the neck Tuesday night in an attempted robbery at a skate park near Elkhorn Road and U.S. 95.

Police responded to the shooting around 8:20 p.m. at the Mountain Ridge Skate Park on the 7100 block of Oso Blanca Road, police said.

The boy was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition and his injuries could paralyze him, police said.

Officers are looking for two Hispanic men in connection with the shooting, police said.

Metro’s robbery detail is on scene investigating.
