A 37-year-old man is in critical condition tonight after being shot at least six times near West Lake Mead and North Martin Luther King boulevards.
Metro Police received the call around 6:45 p.m. from a woman who was walking with the 37-year-old near H Street and Curran Way at the time of the shooting, police said.
Police say a car, described as a dark-colored Dodge Intrepid, pulled up and the man approached the vehicle, police said.
A person inside the car shot the man six or seven times in the torso, police said.
The victim was taken to University Medical Center, police said. Metro’s gang unit is on scene investigating.
