A lawyer says the family of a 29-year-old British tourist who died in Las Vegas in 2005 has agreed to a $350,000 settlement to end a federal lawsuit stemming from the disappearance of the man's internal organs after an autopsy.
Attorney Jonathan Charles Capp told The Associated Press the relatives of Richard Boorman will take $50,000 that Clark County is offering to settle the case. The funeral home that handled Boorman's remains has agreed to settle for $300,000.
The Clark County coroner determined Boorman died of acute cocaine and alcohol intoxication after collapsing in a Las Vegas Strip casino during a bachelor party.
Boorman's organs were missing when his body reached London two weeks later.
Capp says the family will never know what happened to the organs.
