Electric Daisy Carnival promoter Insomniac partners with electronic dance music events group Frequency to present a night chock-full of dubstep and drum and bass. Dieselboy, John B, Messinian, Crizzly and Teenwolf bringing the noise to the Strip-side, 18+ event. January 5, 10 p.m., $20 advance, $25 at the door.

Dirty South at Marquee The Australian house producer, ranked No. 93 on DJ Mag’s latest Top 100 DJ list, received a Grammy nom in 2011 for a collaborative remix (with Axwell) of Temper Trap’s “Sweet Disposition.” He takes the tables at the Cosmo club Friday night. January 6, doors at 9:30 p.m., $50 men, $20 women, local ladies free.

Nick Cannon at Chateau The Hollywood Renaissance man takes a break from his busy acting (Up All Night) and radio hosting (Cannon’s Countdown) schedule to … work some more! The celebrity DJ spins yet another set as part of his residency at the Paris nightspot Friday night. January 6, doors at 10 p.m., $30 men, $20 women.

Pitbull at 1Oak Though “Culo” and “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)” received more than enough dancefloor and radio play, Pitbull only recently topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the first time with his Ne-Yo/Afrojack/Nayer collabo track “Give Me Everything.” The Cuban-American rapper performs at Mirage’s newly-minted nightspot, with DJ Karma helping to supply sounds. January 6, doors at 10 p.m., $40 men, $20 women.

Christina Milian at Moon The pop star-turned-actress climbed the charts with singles like “AM to PM” and No. 1 dance hit “Dip It Low” before lighting up screens big and small (she recently appeared in an episode of CSI). The recently announced social media correspondent for NBC’s The Voice hosts at the Palms nightspot on Saturday. January 7, doors at 10 p.m., $40, local ladies free, includes Playboy Club entry.

Tiësto at XS The Dutch DJ recently wrapped up his yearlong residency at the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel. Fans who missed out on a final show (December’s installment got canceled) can get their fix Saturday night at the Encore venue. Rev up your night out with his Club Life, Vol. 1: Las Vegas compilation. January 7, doors at 10 p.m., $75 men, $30 women.

Jessica Sutta at Krave Maybe most notable as one of Robin Antin’s former Pussycat Dolls, Sutta is now making waves in the electronic dance music scene. The pop-turned-EDM vocalist has already recorded collaborations with big names such as Cedric Gervais and Erick Morillo. She performs at the Strip-side gay club Saturday night. January 7, doors at 10:30 p.m., $20, locals free before 12:30 a.m.

Afrojack at Surrender The internationally renowned producer (and XS resident DJ) scored a 2012 Grammy nom for best remixed recording, non-classical. Check the track out (a remix of Leona Lewis’ “Collide”) before experiencing Afrojack’s music live—he lays down the beats for Surrender’s industry night bash. Also stepping up to the booth: DJ Mighty Mi. January 11, doors at 10:30 p.m., $40 men, $30 women, locals & industry free.
