The city of Henderson is hosting a grand opening Saturday for Hidden Falls Park at 281 W. Horizon Drive.

The 18-acre park was built with a playground, splash pad, a dog park, skate park, basketball court, shaded picnic ramadas, bathrooms and a trailhead. The city also plans to build tennis courts and a 250-seat natural amphitheater.

The park was funded with $8.5 million from the Bureau of Land Management.

Mayor Andy Hafen and members of the City Council will join residents at 1 p.m. Saturday for the celebration.
