Metro seeking tips in search for robbery suspect

Metro Police said this suspect committed two robberies in the northeast valley. The first was Dec. 21 near Sloan Lane and Sahara Avenue, and second was two weeks later on Jan. 4 in the 4900 block of Charleston Boulevard.

Metro Police are asking the public’s help to identify a man suspected of committing two robberies in the northeast valley. Police said the first incident occurred Dec. 21 outside a business near Sloan Lane and Sahara Avenue. The man allegedly stole a female victim’s property and threatened to hurt her, police said. Two weeks later, police said the same suspect entered a business in the 4900 block of Charleston Boulevard, where he allegedly produced a weapon and stole property. He then fled the area. Authorities described him as a black male who is in his late 20s or early 30s and is about 5-feet-10-inches tall and 260 to 280 pounds. He has a goatee, stud earrings and was last seen wearing a white baseball cap, black hooded sweatshirt and dark-rimmed glasses, police said.
