Nightlife news & notes: a Winter Beer Festival, low-calorie cocktails and more

Marquee

Marquee is just one local club that made the 25 Best Nightclubs of All Time list compiled by Complex.com.

Las Vegas is enjoying one of its milder winters on record, and that’s even more reason to head over to Aces & Ales as it celebrates the season with its second annual Winter Beer Festival January 20-22. For $15 you get a commemorative glass and your first taste. And trust us, there will be plenty to taste this weekend—more than 60 specialty beers from breweries such as Ballast Point, Deschutes, Dogfish Head, Green Flash, Lagunitas, North Coast, Rogue and Stone. And for true beer geeks, Aces & Ales has invited a number of experts from the various breweries represented at the event. Now’s your chance to find out how Stone keeps rolling out such damn fine products.

Looking to lose a few pounds as part of that New Year’s resolution but still want to indulge a bit? RA Sushi may have the answer, with a menu of “Skinny Cocktails,” all coming in under 200 calories. For $8 apiece, you can try either a Lychee-teenie, Skinny Ninja or Thin Ginger—or hell, try all three. You can feel decadent and guilt-free at the same time. All are available until February 29—at which point you’re on your own with those resolutions.

Score big points for Las Vegas nightclubs! The website Complex.com just released its list of the 25 Best Nightclubs of All Time, and while New York’s Studio 54 is an obvious No. 1, Las Vegas’ Marquee at Cosmo and XS at Encore, came in at Nos. 10 and 15, respectively. Yeah, Vegas rules, and everybody knows it.
